Basically, I was harrassed by a kid I thought was my friend. Not physically, but over aim. My mom found me crying.
She wants to call the kids mom, have the police talk to him, and get the school involved. But I don't, because it could potentially wreck this kids future. Its kind of like my parting gift to what used to be a friendship.
How can I stop her? Should I stop her?

I believe the police wouldn't be able to prosecute him or do much at all, unless you have significant proof of the conversation ... and even then that isn't very reliable. In that case, telling the police probably wouldn't do you any good. Just avoid him and try not to be online as often. If he harasses you again, just leave it alone and don't let him know he's getting to you. He should want to back off then.

Depends what kind of harassment it was. If it was really bad, getting the school involved could be some nice revenge. I'm sort of against getting anyone else involved though because it could make things harder for you if it gets out that you got this other girl suspended or something. If you don't want your mom to do anything, explain to her how negatively this could end up reflecting on you. The kid probably wouldn't learn anything anyway, he/she'd just get pissed off at you. Mean people suck, don't let them get to you.

thats insane. you know, if the person was harassing you on aim you could have just logged off. no need to get police and school involved over teeniebopper drama (no offense...just making a point) or go kick their ass instead...jk.
