So I have this friend…
His parents are divorced and his step mother hates him because he isn’t her kid, but she loves his sister and brother because they are her kids. I think that the worst part is that his father just goes along with what his step mother says. My friend has bruises on his arms and I think it’s from his father. Last weekend his step mother made him stay outside in a tent for the whole weekend to see how the house would be without him. The only reason my friend stays there is for his little brother. I know I should say something to someone I trust, but the truth is there isn’t anyone that I really trust enough. He needs help, but I don’t know how to help him.

Wow, I would run away if my parents did that to me. I feel sorry for him. And you really need to tell someone.

You have to tell someone. Your parents maybe? Aunt or uncle? Neighbor? Or a teacher? Councelor? Coach? Just find SOMEONE. You're going to have to put a little bit of trust in someone, even though I know it's hard to trust people. If your friend is being abused, then both him and his younger brother need to get out.

On the crazy stepmother note , my mom's stepmom tried to convince everybody that my mom was schitzophrenic when she was younger. She never made her leave the house though. Ay ay ay.

What if what you think is great, really is great, but it's not as great as something greater?
