I have a problem with authority figures that are ignorant and/or tyrants.

I don't really have a problem with authority figures. My father used to be a police officer, so I grew up respecting people above me. I live in a small town. My father knows almost everyone here, so I can't get in trouble. He either went to school with them, arrested them, worked with them, or is related to them. So I have to be good. I don't like having people telling me what to do, but what else is there to do?

Maybe you like many others will grow up to realize that you might not like sombody, and the situation might suck, but you need to respect the authority of those above you regardless. I just went through 12 hours of hell today to re-learn that lesson.

I have no problem with authority, I cant afford it.

I have a problem with authority. Not in the sense that I have a criminal record or anything, but I tend to be to odd for most adults to handle.

Unfortunatly I do, I don't know why but. I just get really mad when somone yells at me and tells me what to do.

The only time that I have a problem with authority is when I get to know them and get to close and then I start to rebel against them and lash out. Is this normal?

i have mojor problems with authority. i hate ppl telling me what to do, on the basis that most of them are assuming that's whats best for me. they don't kno me, or whats best for me, so they should stop telling me what to do.

thanks you serena i appeciate your comments and i think your right. alothough I'll never be able to respect authority because they automaticaly don't like me. But this thread is stupid i wish i hadn't started it

I think we all have a problem with authority to some point. I know I do, I hate authority. My mom is always complaining about it but..wat can I do? I hate being told what to do or what not to do. I think everyone does. So...I guess that to some point its bad bcz u have to follow rules to be able to live "in peace" or to have "some control" but...if u like...let ppl tell u what to do ALL the time then that's also bad. I think its neither...extremes are bad lets put it that way.
