Right. But it's easy to learn aboutscience. All it requires is a text book and perhaps even a teacher. quote: i don't like to call them gay, because they are people. I treat them just the same as anyone else
Saying that someone is gay is not an insult. Gay is not an inherently negative term. It's a description of sexuality. "You learn about equality in the classroom but you find out about it in life" - Campus Confidential www.myspace.com/yogore

No it doesn't. If the bible had an IQ, it would be -30. The bible implies that our solar system is Geocentric. That's wrong. The bible says there was a global flood. Science proves that was impossible. The bible says nothing about dinosaurs or other prehistoric megafauna. Science does. The bible can't tell you how fast a star, 1,000,000 lightyears away, is moving. Science can. You say homosexuality is a choice. Science has proved that to be wrong, my best friend proved that to be wrong, his friends proved that to be wrong, every other gay person in America proved that to be wrong, every gay teen that has been beaten up at school every single day has proved that to be wrong, parents of gay people who lost their children to ignorance proved that to be wrong, and whenever I looked into my friend's eyes and saw the hurt and fear there, that no matter what I did, I couldn't fix, proved you very very wrong. You're wrong. The bible is wrong. Wrong wrong wrong wrong wrong. If you were anywhere near me right now, I'd stab you. And I wouldn't regret it or apologize for it. And for every idiotic post you make, I'm gonna tear out a page from the bible. That's 74 pages, so far. Hell, I might even tear them to shreds and put them in my cats' litter box, if you really piss me off.
The bible was written in a different time period! AND IT WAS NOT MEANT TO BE A SCIENTIFIC TEXT!!!!!! IT'S THE BELIEFS OF A GROUP OF PEOPLE!!! WHY THE HELL WOULD THEY BE TALKING ABOUT DINOSAURS?!?!?!?! where do you get that the earth is geocentric from the bible? Science proves that a global flood WAS possible. AND THE BIBLE WAS WRITTEN IN c. 500 AD, THE DINOSAURS WERE LONG SINCE GONE!!!! Science is important, very important, and it must be given time, your right yogore. But you can't stand behind science if you don't know anything about it.

Science is the universe. Every little piece of your body is governed by science. Every little emotion and every little blink you take. Every piece of your world follows with the science of nature and physical matter. You are a blithering idiot to not have any understanding of it. Either that, or you can't face the reality of it, so you badmouth it.

First off, I have nothing against gay people. I have gay friends, and I just met my girlfriend's homosexual uncles who are perhaps two of the nicest, most caring, and most enjoyable people to be friends with (also i don't like to call them gay, because they are people. I treat them just the same as anyone else). But, the bible is not a foolman's text. It shouldn't be taken quite so literally and it shouldn't be forced to be accepted by all, but treat it with respect. Not because it's Christian, but because it's a book containing the the basic underlying beliefs of another religion. By badmouthing it, you are doing the same as the "Biblereaders" are doing to homosexuals. Two wrongs don't make a right. And I have read the bible myself as well. I am still Christian in name and I somewhat still follow the religion, at least for its basic morals (don't kill, steal, do good deeds, etc.). I more strongly believe in science and psychology in the interworkings of the universe.

What gives straight people the right to decide what gay people do with their lives. If the majority of the world were homos and they decided it was illegal for a man and a woman to marry, straight people wouldnt be too happy about that.

Hm, let's see, I'd have to say that science kept me alive when I had severe asthma attacks. You know those handy breathing machine things and inhalers? Mm-hm, that's right. Unless God took their shape, of course. No, seriously, maybe there's was a little help from whatever higher power, but why should he worry about a two-year old? Hasn't he got better things to do? What about the genocide in Darfur? The starving children in 3rd world countries, heck, and America? Shouldn't those lives be kept rather than one two-year old? And why does God let people die of cystic fibrosis? The doctors thought I had cystic fibrosis. I didn't, but I would have died if I did and God couldn't have stopped me. Anyways, God has absolutly nothing to do with gay marraige. That's just the morons in the White House using their misintrepreted, Bible-filled, propaganda to scare the American public.

quote: I have had pneumonia more than once and everytime God has healed me.
I've been sick with either Pneumonia, Bronchitis, or Influenza every year since I was born. And a combination of my immune system, medicine, and rest has cured me every time. quote: Ya'll are just unlearned.
I can tell you why the sky is blue and where the elments came from, and you say I'm "unlearned"? That's not even a word, ass. I'm trying to educate you with factual science, but you don't want to listen. Talking to you is like talking to a dead dog. But I'm the uneducated one. That makes sense.

Your aathema could have disapeared because you grew out of it or you got into better shape. God doesn't heal you form pneumonia. Drugs or your immune system does. quote: I died when I was born, but God brought me back.
You're saying the doctors did nothing and waited for god to save you? quote: He's the healer of all my dieases.

God sure did heal me. I have had pneumonia more than once and everytime God has healed me. I died when I was born, but God brought me back. I had asthma until I was 10 years old. I am alive today cause the Lord God healed me. He's the healer of all my dieases.

quote: If science is so great like you say it is then tell me why can't they cure the flu that is going around right know?
A. Scientists are in the process of making a vaccine right now. But it can take a while. B. The bird flu probably isn't as bad as the media is making it out to be. When influenza killed almost 40 million people worldwide in 1918, Scientists reacted and found a vaccine a while later. They did the same thing with Diptheria, Rubella, Polio, Meningitus, Hepatitus, Tetanus, etc. Now Scientists are well on thier way to preventing a tradegy from occurring again. Heck, they're even close to finding an AIDS vaccine. quote: Why can't they cure that disease that eats your skin alive?
There are several different diseases that eat you alive. Some are caused by parasites or bacteria. All are extremely rare. But doctors can and do cure some cases. And like Euterpe said, why can't God just cure the flu? I almost died from Pneumonia when I was 3. God didn't cure me, strong antibiotics and anti-fever medication did. You live in a shoe box don't you?
