So, my mother drives me insane. She always has. When I was little she would always tell me what to do in everything. Be it, lieing or crying or putting on a smile. When I was 8 She told me my dad phyically hurt her on purpose, although now I learned he only fought back, and defended himself. Now that I am in my teens she make it her business to get into my life. She goes through my diary. She comes in my room with out knocking (even when I am chaing). When I am taking a shower/ bath, she unlocks the door if I don't respond to her. It's horrible. I tried running away from home, but she tracked me down. I wasn't even gone three hours, and she lied to the police to have them come search for me. How freakin' retarded. Then when I was in my goth stage, I went to Hot Topic, and bought like 9 pairs (at different times) of those $60 pants. Then I kept losing them, turned out she was throwing them away on me. What the hell? Then I borrowed a pair of pants from my friend, her favorite pants, and she threw them away. I told her before hand I was only borrowing them, and she threw them away anyways. Then when she found out that my boyfriend and I were doing stuff, she forbade me from seeing him. I miss him terribly, and beg my dad to let him come over to his house with me some weekends. He does let me. But I'm really getting tired of her controlling my life. I can't even stay after school with out getting hounded. What do I do about her. Please tell.

Guys, it's absolutely totally natural to hate your mum at one point or another. Please consider we've all been brought up in different ways so when your mates are talking to you about hating their mum dont bitch on them because they're crying cause their mum hit them when your mum hits you ALL The time. Keep in mind, whats really difficult for one person isnt for another. In most cases, you're coming into your own as a young lady or a young man, youre developing and your mum is also developing with you. Whether you are her first teenager or her sixth, she's learning too. There will be emotional up and downs, maybe you'll run away maybe you'll get kicked out but it will boil over, and if it is absolutely horrific than get proffessional help and talk about it. It will help you in the long run, it will make you have healthier relationships in your life in the future also. Dont worry though, cry about it, or get mad or throw something but remember its human to be mad and for her to be mad too  |

You're still a kid and you only have one mom. You won't have her forever. Just deal with it as best you can and be the best son you can--not for her, but for your own peace of mind and conscience. |

How horrible. I know how it feels but I won't go into detail as it's personal. It's tragic that you and your mom do not have a close relationship as it is probably the most ancient and special one in the world. You and your mom really do need to sit down and talk. Or if that doesn't work, try family counselling. You might need to compromise. Maybe by giving her reason to trust you, you'll be able to trust her. It will be a long and possibly painful process i'm sure, but you really should try and save this relationship. Good luck and I wish you the best whatever you choose.

That is really hard to go through, I sometimes do not get along with my dad. I find the best way to deal with it is to take it one day at a time. Try talking to her about how you are feeling. I know you hate her, but maybe there is something really simple that you can do to change that behaviour. If you have tried talking to her and trying to forgive her, suggest medical help. You might need some family counseling or taking her to a doctor to see if something is really bothering her. I am really sorry for what your are going through but keep your chin up. aLlison

doggy, you're 16. If anyone comes back in ten years and still hates but loves their mom, it's just time to visit family counseling if both of you are still alive. But really. There should be common sense here. If you have a real issue, please discuss it without making a fool of yourself.

that really sucks but have you ever tryed talking to ur mom???? and if that dosent work stay at ur dads for a long time or maybe have ur dad or some 1 talk to ur mom to get the message to her.

ok my friend called and asked if i could sleepover and when i told her who it was and she said "no!" and i asked why and she said " well last time she was here she was talking about midnight walks with a boy, having him lik fel her, and basicly french kissing her." thats like hafe true so i said "mom shes talking about some 1 she knows and she still said no!!! and i havent seen my friend in like a month I HATE MY MOM!!
