so here is an article i have been following on the web about a dr. (dr. Lee Mingwei) a mle which has been impregnated....i will quote from the article....
quote:
"Fertility experts have accomplished astonishing feat in the quest for new world of human reproduction. Mr. Lee Mingwei, a Taiwanese American, is now the first pregnant man in history. A team of doctors at RYT Hospital, Dwayne Medical Center, New York, employed In-Vitro Fertilization (IVF) techniques to induce an ectopic pregnancy in Mingwei by implanting an embryo and placenta into the abdominal cavity, Mingwei weighed 167.5 1bs, his blood pressure 80/120 and fundal height 37.3 inches as at June 19. He is reportedly in good health and spirit. The expectant 'mother' has no name for the child yet. He was quoted as saying, "I believe I'll only know the name when the child is born. I guess we'll have to wait and see" Mingwei reportedly, will be delivered by Caesarian session. Lee Mingwei was a fairly known figure before his procedure. He is said to have as an artist, exhibited at the Whitney Museum of American Art, among others."

quote:
"Fertility experts have known for years that men could bear children," explains Dr. Elizabeth Preatner. She explains, "With the success of delivering ectopic pregnancies in women, it has became clear that a uterus is not essential to childbirth. We have proven that within the proper biochemical environment, an embryo can indeed implant itself within a male abdominal cavity and thrive." "When it comes to the burdens of parenthood, women usually trump men with one simple fact -- only females can get pregnant and give birth.", Kathy Slobogin of CNN Medical Unit, wrote in her article 'Liberated seahorse dads carry the babies'. The scale will change to an equilibrium if all goes well with male pregnancy. Whether this is an important stage in the fight for gender equality remains to be seen. "

for more info....go to google and type in male pregnancy and his name with pop up somewhere in the search results.....

i am personally opposed to this but i wanted to get other opinons on it.

Why would a man want to be pregnancy?
I mean it's hard enough for us women to have child.
You'd think that when a man see the trouble women go's through you'd think that they would never want to go through it.
He's crazy! Confused Confused

read the posts, carpet. It's not real.

And it wouldn't have shame. you're just close minded and would probably be the insecure person making fun of the child. And ther's no evidence to show that anything would be wrong with the child.

The last word, if you can call it that, in your post makes no sense.

That is almost too weird to be true...Then it has to be a hoax. But then Clonaid claimed to have created a clone, so I guess some people are gullible enough to believe it.

Well if that's what you wanted to know, you should have been more straightforward about it.

I don't know, males were not genetically able to produce children, but I've heard of women reversing roles, so why not males too? I personally believe there will be a day that it is possible, but acceptable will take longer, just as gay marriage (or acceptance of homosexuality) will as well.

well opon further research of this i have discoverd that people are calling it a hoax....
read on---

quote:
1999: MalePregnancy.com (Web Hoax)

Lee Mingwei, the first pregnant man
This website documented the case of Mr. Lee Mingwei, supposedly the first man to bear child. A variety of documentary evidence was provided to allow visitors to track the progress of Mr. Mingwei's pregnancy, but in fact all of the evidence was false. The site was really created as an art project by the conceptual artist Virgil Wong. In fact, it would be theoretically possible for a man to bear a child by means of an ectopic pregnancy (and taking female hormones), but due to the high risks involved, no one has ever attempted such a procedure (though in 2002 Doctor Chen Huanran in Beijing announced he was seeking volunteers).

disregaurding this what is your opinion of a male becoming pregnant and having children...
that is what i wanted this thread to be about.

Did you realize this was publicized years ago? He should have had it by now. So either it failed, Mr. Lee went into secrecy or it was a huge hoax.
