These problems are all caused by the capitalist wage system which is slavery because employees are slaves & so are masters. In 1865 we only thought we ended slavery becase we didn't think that employees are slaves. According to many books, like "When Corporations Rule the World" we were forced into needing money over the centuries, so no one is free until we eliminate money. That can be done by giving every person a guaranteed income (ATM) card so that money will disappear into computers. That will also end world poverty. Another problem is our education system that teaches slavery for wages. If all people were taught to be doctors & scientists, then all people could "work" part-time as doctors & scientists. And if we eliminate most of the "work" by eliminating cars, roads, houses, & small buildings, and build only live/work/play tower cities connected to trains, then mother & fathers could all work part-time 10 hrs a week, & they could all raise their own children. But USA was taught & forced to accept the capitalist wage system (true--read history) which left females either starving or forced to work or marry to survive, but that's slavery. It also killed millions worldwide by causing famines & wars because the wage causes many unknown problems (to most people) but especially by not letting all people get an education & by not giving every person a "job" so they won't starve. So USA should lead the world in changing to a guaranteed income so all people can work part-time, & then we'd truly be free.

Actually, I was taught in AP US History exactly what Joey is saying in this post...doesn't mean I agree with it, but it shows that many people hold this view.

I just thought you all should know that my father stays at home with me. Although according to popular belief men don't stay at home with their children: My father just happens too.

I dunno, someone's gotta have the smaller jobs. Who'd take out your trash? Who'd give you your burger? Who'd take care of your plumbing? Our society still depends on these people with the jobs "not worth having".

Not true. You have to be 14 to hold any type of job. it's severely limited at 14 and 15. Somewhat limited at 16 and 17. And at 18 you can basically hold any job. "You learn about equality in the classroom but you find out about it in life" - Campus Confidential www.myspace.com/yogore

wow\ reading that whole thing about how the root of all our problems was women workiung was really distressing... people think the feminist movement is over but we need to get working, ladies. Obviously a lot of bias still exists out there. One Thing that made me extremely happy, however, was finding how many retorts there were out there. Extreemly exciting that there were so,so,so many people upsert by this, and not just myself. Yes, yes, yes! the majority is mos def pro-women and this shows how far our sufragget and feminsit sisters have come. Yipee.
but the forum in the first place show we have a long long way to go. let's sock it to him

Mother's should work, But daycare isn't the place to raise a young child. In my opinion, Women should stay home with the children until school. Then women should go out and join the work force.

wow, so let me get this straight you think all the problems of the world started when women got rights, well let me tell you, the world has always had problems and most likely always will. The world has always had wars, and ther world has always had some type of social curuption, and once we get ride of one form of hate here comes another. So just shut your mouth and stop saying women cause problems because most wars were and are started by men.
Have a great day.

How 'bout dad staying home and raising the kids? It takes two to tango and make a baby. Good parenting can still be done when both parents have to work. We all learn our parenting skills from our parents. We are not automatically born knowing how to do everything. We live what we learn. We pass what we learn on to our kids, our kids pass it on to their kids and so on and so forth. We can break the habit of bad cycles such as bad parenting. What I'm saying is, the type of parenting that once worked for our parents on us will not entirely work on our kids if we ever so choose to have any.

As long as both mom and dad spend alot of time with their children, are emotionally there for them, and put them before work everything should turn out fine. Yes, women do have a certain maternal instinct that man of course do not have and are the more obvious choice in raising children. But other than the fact that we produce children, we are exactly the same as men as far as out mental and physical abilities go, married or not. Our children are the future of the world, and they do come, or should come before EVERYTHING else!

quote: they are infused with the PC-feminist ideology that they can do things independent of any man when they're married.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but it sounds like you're saying it's bad for women to be independent when they're married. Meaning they should be dependent. And in the ideal marriage, husband and wife depend on eachother for love, support, etc. But I don't think you meant it that way. I think you mean the wife should depend on the husband to provide the income. And just why is it that way? Why can't there be stay-at-home dads? It's because this 50's society you're so fond of has told us that a woman's place is in the home. Not that a parent should stay at home with the children, but the woman. And if that isn't sexist, I don't know what is.
