Which morals? Segregation. Lynching. Race riots. Populist Communism.
All of these things were common place in the 1950's. So unless you would like to return to the days of lynch mobs and communism; please shut up. Thanks- FML

Though I generally agree with you Celtic, this is actually not true. Many studies have been done with women and the sound of a crying infant and then the same sound with men. The women's brains had this subconcious thing going on where they felt a need to help the child, fix it. The men's brains felt either indifference or annoyance.

Whether you are aware of it or not, ALL women have some form of chemical/instinct that is "motherly."

But not ALL women are the same. That depends on a women's pathology; a normal woman would be as you said. Someone with, say, dementia (an example) may not.

We also had an anti Communist Hollywood, proper public schools, a postwar economic boom, a pro America media. We didn't have any illegals, feminazis, environazis, and our college professors didn't think Americans killed by terrorists were "Lil Eichmanns.'. The Pledge was mandatory, 'God' had just been placed in it, and government employees had to take a oath of loyalty. Abortion was illegal, there were no drugs on the streets, and we were locked in a glorious ideological war of good versus evil.

I'd say the '50s were a much better time. But then again, that's just the reactionary in me.

Joey, what exactly is the "utter destruction of the United States of America"? You seem to have very sure ideas of the cause, Roll Eyes however what are the specific problems you see in America today that weren't present( or at least to the same extent) fifty years ago? Crime? Violence? Irreverence for morals and tradition? Certaintly want to be fully informed before I dissagree...

women have motherly instincts

I don't. The only child I don't despise is my sister. And even her I feel like strangling every now and then.

I for one KNOW I am motherly and it isn't all its cracked up to be. My friends even nicknamed me "Mother". Roll Eyes

rock is more im going to do what i want and rap is more im going to kill who i want. such as "whos dat lookn through my window POW nobody now". Or songs that are played on the radiop all the time such as candy shop, which is about recieving oral. im not saying that rock dosn't have its share of bad lyrics i just think that rap is worse.

The first line of Figured You Out by Nickelback:
I like your pants around your feet.

This isn't rock but a line from Discovery Channel by Bloodhound Gang (really sucks):
Stick your hand down my pants

I usually hate songs like Candyshop or any song where a woman is refered to as *****, ho or anything like that.

I really hate how almost every song has the line:
A lady in the streets but a freak in the sheets.

But not all rap songs are like that

Pantara, I believe you're talking about modern rap, the rap of Nelly and 50 Cent. However, would you blame our nation's problems on Run DMC or Public Enemy? They're also rap. But they don't have quite the same lyrics as you say. Music is obviously not the root of the problem. In fact, I know so many people who listen to rap who are 4.0 students and have never broken a single law in their entire life. And then I've heard of people who listen to Beethoven and Mozart who routinely rob 7-11's and blow their teachers away. Interesting.

HOWEVER, before you all jump on the hate the music industry bandwagon, realize that if there were parents at home to instill good moral values in thier children from birth, then music woould just be that, music. And not a tool to blame the scum of america on.

No I'm not a Gorean. Where did you come up with that?

I'm talking about women that have their own children.

What is a Gorean?

A philosophy/group that makes women to be slaves whilst men their masters (I wrote a thread on it under spirituality).

quote:
In every woman that i have ever seen with children of her own, i have witnessed some sort of nurturing instinct.

I don't have it. I've tried cooing at children, but I can't. It just doesn't come naturally out of me, as if it was fake.

well then please tell me, what in yer thoughts is the reason for this digust of america to happen? in your case for example

We just became this way. Things change over time. And you're just saying rap is the reason because you don't agree with the opinions in it.

You're just a dumb****.

SECODNLY, RAP IS WHEN OUR COUNTRY STARTED TO GO DOWN THE TOLIET, GO BACK TO YER GEHTTOS AND GET A LIFE U "RAP SINGERS" CREATING HORRIBLE THINGS FOR THE CHILDREN OF OUR DAY TO LISTEN TO U, ITS ALL YOUR FAULT......i have more choice words but i am sure if i use them i will get banned
-Bmint

Bmint I don't mean to be rude but you seem to not get the point that making accusations like that make you sound really dumb. If you were trying to say music had anything to do with it you would have to start with something like rock and roll which had the same sort of "i'm gonna do what i want" attitude effect on people as rap it just was a different beat.
