This story has gotten some attention in the news but not as much as it should. Near my city there is a 4-H camp where counselors were running a 'fight club'. They were encourageing 4-H campers to fight each other, then taking bets and charging admissions. Now i don't believe in morals based on simply one's religion or anything like that, but is it just me or is our nation's culture going to pot? Cause it seems to be getting worse every day.

This is pure ranting. What on earth is wrong with people? Charging ADMISSION? To 4H fights. This world is insane. Positively insane. We take these clubs, that are supposed to be building positive youth leadership or whatever the heck they want to call it, and turn them into FIGHT CLUBS? ARGGH! Why? Can anyone give me one reason why (other than that they are greedy jerks with no since of justice or honor or morality or anything else!?!)

it's nearly as bad as bum fighting, or playing poker in the middle of a bull pen.
PARENTS: ask questions if your kids come back from 4-H camp with bruises and scars....

that ain't any normal horseshoeing go'in on!

they should be teaching kids how to deal with their energies in nonviolent ways.

omg...jeez...this is like the Roman times when they used to fight and kill each other in the arena....well, almost as bad as that anyway.

I'm disgusted with this...although I'm not surprised. Our society just keeps sinking lower and lower...

That is pretty disgusting. Fighting for the sake of entertainment? Hollywood is one thing.. this is another.

not to make you feel worse, but I believe that is an old term meaning "going into the pot" like out of the pan and into the fire. My Grams used to say it all the time...

how old are 4-H campers anyway? I never did anything like that...so...I don't know

i think the whole fight club thing should wait till at least 18.

i was once part of a pillow fight club...

'Fight club'....ummm,l think l saw a movie on that once,found the idea all right but won't kids try to organise clubs like that for themselves? that part l find uncool.

that came off wrong. I dont pick fights or encourage them out of anger.

I enjoy watching and participating in fights that arent out of anger is more what i ment.

fights are pretty cool in my oppinion.
