Some people belive in spanking their children as means of disipline, others view that as going too far. There's all kinds of child abuse in the world, physical(exp. spanking), emotional, and sexual. But where is the line drawn? Where does disipline end and abuse start? I recently finished reading A child called "it". By David Pelzer. A very sad story of a child who survided a very brutal case of child abuse. And in this book I read this: quote: Sources may vary, but is estimated that one in five children are physically, emotianally, or sexually abused in our country(U.S). Unfourtunatly, there are those among the uninformed public who believe that most abuse is nothing more than parents exerting their "right" to discipline their children and letting it get a little out of hand. These same people may belive that over-discipline is not likely to follow the child to adulthood
It aslo said this, which made me think; quote: Why? What causes the tragedy of child abuse? Is it really as bad as they say? Can it be stopped? And perhaps the most important of all questions, what is abuse through the eyes of a child?
I'm not only talking about physical abuse, but also emotional and sexual. Where do you think the parents "right" to discipline end and abuse starts? Do parents reserve the right to disipline their children in any way they want? How would you discipline your children(if you do decide to have any)? Do you think that how parents discipline their children should'nt be any one elses business? Say what ever you think about this topic. Thank you for taking the time to read this. as an adult, would you hit any other member of society? (unless in self-defence etc.)
children should have the same rights as everybody else. if you hit and humiliate a child, it teaches them to hit and humiliate

if a person is hearing screaming and crying and if he/she comes over and the child is bruised bloody or afraid of their parents it is very well their buisness. In the eyes of children spanking is not abused. now where disipline stops and abuse starts is constant slapping across the face. now a simple pop on the mouth is not abuse it is disipline. this is usually for more mature kids and all it takes is a little smack that isnt to hard. this is usually for bad language. my mom does that to me if i say something bad.no parent should abuse there own blood. sadly parents do.
