I was watching the news and apparently birth control is considered by some to be another form of abortion. So some doctors refuse to give out birth control pills for this reason.
Wow. I'm floored. Soon, girls won't be allowed to menstrate because it'd be ruining potential life. Isn't it better to take the pill rather than leading it up to an ACTUAL abortion?? *sigh*

lol, That would have confused me too. It was very interesting to see that post from hoobabanks...he obviously didn't scroll all the way down the page to see my other coments. o well...But this is a thing I thought of: everything in this topic should be mirrored on men. If women (hypothetically) were not allowed to mentrate, men should not be able to mastabate, because of the possible life that would be lost. I thought it was an interesting thought.

It's good to hear tha u still got ur pride,am proud of you and i know whoever knows about it is too and respects u more than ever.
Well i must correct you tha there are lots of people in the world today, globalisation made us look few,and as for birth control it's something tha should be allowed to stay in our society, because teenage birth is really destroying mthe lives so many youths today who are supposed to be taking part in a more active and community, life changing programmes instead of having babies, and moreover why should we bring a baby to this world when we are still strugling with life,i think it's an act of wickedness to give birth to a child at a very tender age,the baby stands to face lots of challenges and problems,we should try to cultivate our sexual habits, cos i don't see condoms helping us,let's wait for the right time, afterall the most complete book in the world(the Bible) said in ECC 3(all thru) that there is time for everythang.
If birth control pills are a form of abortion, then so are condoms and all other forms of birth control. Thing is, doctor's shouldn't refuse to give birth control pills to girls, because a lot of them take them for health reasons. I do. I take them for my menstrual cycle, and the BIRTH CONTROL part of it doesn't even apply to me, because I'm a virgin and intend on staying that way for a while!

" The only things, though, that can't be facts are philisophical things, like murder, abortion, foot binding, and a myriad of other social issues. "
I disagree. You have to think of possibilities beyond common reason. For example, how do I know that the ground exists? What if it doesn't exist? What if we all just think it exists - and that is why it is assumed to exist?
" "I think therefore I am"- rené descartes "
It's clever, but it still can be wrong.
" You can't. "
Yeah, that's what I think. But, I still think that we should assume that what we were given was given to us for a reason. We have to go with what was given to use to try to find "truth," even if we can't DEFINITELY prove it to be truth.
If it is not a fact that abortion is wrong, then it is not a fact that murder is wrong. Then, you can pretty much state that NOTHING in the world is fact.
WOW! Did you figure that out all by yourself? The only things, though, that can't be facts are philisophical things, like murder, abortion, foot binding, and a myriad of other social issues.

birth control isnt only used for preventing pregnancy. it can be used to balance a womens menstrual system and other benefits such as that. and i dont see it as a form of abortion, because its not killing any babies or fertilized eggs.

Yes, gravity. It has been defied in mechanical/etc means, but normally it's proven to be there. Unless youre in another planet.

"Regardless, I have always, and will always, succeed."
I'll pose this question to you: "Is anything legitimate proof?"
What I mean is: How are we to know that we exist? How are we to know that everything is in our imagination is not programmed into us? How do we know that this world isn't a matrix? How can we prove anything?
" Whether abortion is right or wrong, same with birth control, however, is an opinion, not a fact. "
If it is not a fact that abortion is wrong, then it is not a fact that murder is wrong. Then, you can pretty much state that NOTHING in the world is fact. But, I don't agree with that at all.
An opinion can be fact. People disagree with each other on facts all the time. Right then and there you have some people whose opinions agree with fact, and some people whose opinions don't agree with fact. That proves that opinions have the ability to be right or wrong.
