Alright, for my international Geo-Politics class we had to write a huge essay on Child Soldiers. Before that I had known it was going on and all, but never knew much about it. Its happened in pretty much all the civil wars in the African region. These kids are being taken from their families, and forced to serve in either the army or as 'wives' where they get raped and forced to have children, who would also become child soldiers. Now, lets hear some opinions?

Can you imagine every child you see, instead of feeling happy or neutral towards them, you feel scared or afraid that they are going to kill you? Invisible Children shed light on this horrible way of life for me. I didn't know about it until I saw the movie. It's an amazingly heart wretching movie and it's very candid, it holds nothing back from the truth. Every since I've been supporting this organization, raising and sending money to them. It's a must-see movie.

Everyone definitly needs to watch "Invisible Children". What was cool about it was that it was made for the most part by high schoolers. That just got everyone thinking about what they can do to help, too. Seeing these three teens, our age, who started this whole "invisible children" movement was really inspiring. "Inspiring" is a pretty cheesy word, but i don't know much else what to call it.

This is not new. This happens to countries engaging into wars just like in Africa.
It is absolutely a form of child abuse. The countries where this happens seem to lack power in protecting these children for rebellion and terrorism are prevalent on them.
Could we ask assistance from the UNICEF about this?

I have heard about this pidgeXcore. In fact, I'm very interested in raising awareness about child soldiers. I first started getting interested in this one Sunday morning when I turned on the TV and there was a documentary about it. It was called Invisible Children and it talked about children(around the age of 7-14 years old) in Uganda who are being taken from their villages and forced to become soldiers. Some of the children where followed as they all congregated on a bus station and slept on the floor every night for fear of being take away. They had all ran away trying to prevent from being taken by this armies. It was truly heartbreaking to see their injuries and hear their stories. Actually, you can find more about this HERE. In part of the footage the children urged the U.S government to pressure their own government so that something is done to stop this.

That is the website for Invisible Children and it gives you locations for you to go and see the movie and ways that you can get involved. I suggest that you guys visit it. Something must be done.

Here is part of the movie that I saw on TV that day. I suggest you watch it.

By the way, welcome to YouthNoise pidgeXcore.
