My brother has cerbal palsy. And severe brain damage. And chronic lung disease. So, no. I don't think they're retarded. Though some people can be very harsh.

Hmm. The one and only fight I ever got into in school was over a kid w/ cerebral palsy. A football player was picking on him (why is it always the football players?) and I told him to back of. He shoved me into a locker, and I used my secret weapon: high-heeled boots. Broke his foot. But that's not the point. I don't think disabled kids are retarded or anything else, and I do try to help them out, and never make fun. But, I have to admit that I feel awkward around them, and might have trouble keeping one as a close friend. Really, I think I'd get used to it and get past it, but I always feel like I might somehow offend them. Know what I mean? Say something that'll be taken the wrong way. Love, Jen.
