My mother is a teacher, who recently contacted DHR because she correctly suspected sexual abuse in the home of one of her students. Children at school were cruel to her, and they couldn't see past the rolls of skin under her chin. The seven year old attempted suicide, and is now at a home for underprivileged children. My point is, don't judge people at all- you may be the hot breath that bursts a stuffed balloon. You don't know peoples situations- they do.

No, it would have happened anyway- You should tell-- if noone knows, there would be no possible way to work out a terrible problem like this.

shiningstar- in situations like that, if you know something bad is going on, should you tell anyone? Because from what you've said, and from my own experience, it only makes things worse.

The child in quesyion is being sent back to the house where she was physically, verbally, emotionally and sexually abused! My mother is petitioning DHR...

Way to go, mom! I think that was a very smart thing to do. You're right tho, kids need to learn to mind their own business or at least mind what comes out of their mouths. You can't stop the way they think, but you can teach them to check their actions. I weigh 138 and no one would ever guess it. To them, that's fat, but also according to them, I'm way too skinny. So tell me how that works? Yes, kids need to watch the things they say and the way they perceive things.

yah....I agree! i go throught the same crap at school. i am now 16 and a junior. Everyday I walk in school and even my friends same somting about my wait! I'm not even big I way 130.....and i have a kinda muscular body but i look ok. I understand whats going on and your mom should look past what people say.If she is happy with what she is doing.......then she should do it!
