i would never kill a thief for example, just jail.

but a rapist, muderer, terrorist, kkk (or anything likewise), people that own child pornography sites and stuff, men and women who mistreat their kids (in a really terrible way) deserve to die. They've done enough, and dont do anything good for the planet.

If the death penalty is wrong how is jail time right?

No matter how many people a person killed, or how they killed them. The death penalty is wrong. Unless they did the crime on purpose, they should not be punished physically, because they will live with the guilt of their actions their whole life. Looking back on the actions or choices they made, they will think of the people they hurt along the way, and the things they could have done to prevent someone elses burden. I think it's wrong to send someone to the death penalty. If they did the crime on purpose, do the same to them as they did to that person. Let them see what they did, and how they did it, and even see why they truly made the choice they made. I think the death penalty should be terminated from our law policies. hananhslack@hotmail.com

i think it would be a better idea to give them life in prison. if you killed them they would only have to spend a short time in prison.

yea...the death penalty is just as bad as abortion. your still killing someone...it doesnt matter what theyve done or even if theyve killed someone...God gave them the right to live, who are we to take that away?? putting them in jail for life is a much better punishment...caz if you think about it, if theyve done something so bad to be sentenced to the death penalty, theyll probly get life in thre anyways. and if theyre in there for life..theyll die in there. so let them die in jail naturally, instead of murdering them!

it's far worse punishment to put someone in a prison for most ppl. plus it gives them a chance to change themselves for the better, even if they don't get out they can learn to concentrate their energy more positivly. also i totally agree with what amaris said... i don't know how ppl who flip the switch or give lethal injections live with themselves... i mean even if it is a murderer, it's still a person and you'd have to be pretty sick to kill a person.

I believe that if someone has killed someone else, they deserve to die to. But it's just my opinion.

Okay, so don't they kill people by lethal injections sometimes (I don't know if they really do, I just saw it happen on Passions)? Well, just say they do. Say Jim killed Bob, and now Jim is going to be executed by lethal injection by Sam. Doesn't that make Sam a killer? So shouldn't Sam be executed? So say Sam's executed by the electric chair. I donno, i think it's good and bad. Well, I remember when the snipper person was going around killing people. And since I live around ther it was horrible, i was afraid to go outsid for that month, and when ever I did go out I was afraid of getting shot. Those guys killed people and they affected so many peoples lives, so i think people like them deserve the death penalty if their certain that their guilty.
But I also think that if u were like mentally retarded u sholdn't get it. (I dont know if they do or not.)
Also, I don think the death pealty should be so painful, they should just kill te person, not put them in an electric seat or like chop their heads off.

Those on death row normally live a while after their crimes, because of all of the appeals they can get. And even then the president can choose to pardon them.

Everyone says, "Whose right is it of ours to take that mans life for his actions?" Well did he (or she) have the right to take life in the first place? "Just one big evil circle!" Well dammit I like circles!!
