Do you mean legos?
Did anyone but me play with Jenga? Is that how you spell it.
*This post has been deemed free of polka dots by me (and sometimes, not to mention originally, Purpledog), in my endless pursuit to cast out all traces of polka dots from youthNOISE. surely, if i tell everyone fifty times a day that i hate polka dots, they will hate them too. by posting this signature, i can join the crusade against polka dots without ever mentioning it in the body of my messages. in fact, the use of this signature entitles me to use polka dots in a message, even though i am fighting against them.*

Polly Pockets, all the way. And this thing called The Pet Shop, which consisted of a plastic box that was supposed to be either a pet store, or a vet's office (I don't really remember), and a bunch of plastic dogs and cats. It was really stupid, and I was always losing the animals.

The yellow metal tonka truck my brother threw at my sister's head. She still has the scar 7 years later... oh, and that metal baseball bat I accidentally hit her with. It's too small for me now, too bad, that thing was heavy, and I could swing it like hell... Hmmm what else? Rocks. I threw rocks at people. And those were my only childhood toys. Seriously. I think I had a pencil or two... I have poems from that early, so sure, pencil and paper.

My favorite toys or whatever were my Barbie's and my teddy bear I got when I was born. When i first got this teddy bear it was blue and now it's gray because i carried it around so much when i was little. And my Barbies, phew, I had sooooooo many of them. And a ton of junk to go with them. Seriously, I had like 2, full trash bags full of them. I brought them to the Salvation Army, but I still have a few, I like to take them out every now and then and look at them and stuff.

'Thomas' was my favorite doll. A Cabbage Patch Kid, he was the perfect size for trips or sleepovers so, naturally he came along with me everywhere I went.
Poor Thomas. He had an exceptionally traumatic lifestyle while under my care.
Thomas rode along in my backpack on the way to kindergarten. I'd always pull him out on the bus ride home. He comforted me, as I watched all the kids my age tramp off the bus at the local daycare and I sat alone, sitting in the front seat behind a grumpy driver, with a bunch of "big kids". (I always went home after school. No day care for me!)
Once, the biggest, meanest boy on the bus lugged his backpack up the aisle and plumped down in the green leather seat next to mine. He seemed discouraged. Perhaps another child had called him a name, or a girl his age had circled NO in his "Do you like me?" note.
He looked over at me, a tiny blonde with skinny legs, big pink bow in my hair, and a Barbie backpack. He asked kindly, "What's the doll's name?" After my reply he asked to hold my favorite toy. I hesitated, but the kid seemed nice enough.
Now, if you know Cabbage Patch Kids, you know that on hot summer days, their bald plastic heads get sort of mushy and give in to a little pressure.
The big boy, apparently noticing this for the first time, proceeded to squash in Thomas's head with his pudgy thumbs. Next, he spit in the tiny trench he'd created on the head of my doll. He called back to his classmates, "Look, it's Cabbage Patch River!"
Oh, I was devastated. The next stop was mine, so, grabbing Thomas, I fleeted down the bus steps onto the lane that leads to my house. I scooted past my mom, who always met me at the door. Hauling into the bathroom I turned the handle until water rushed violently into our tub. In went Thomas, his head covered in boy spit.
I later left Thomas at a boating resort in Charleston Bay, South Carolina when I was eight.
After recognizing his absence from our car, my parents drove back to our hotel and spent the rest of the day searching for my poor doll. (Yea, I was an only child at the time.) Poor Thomas was never retrieved.
I loved you Thomas, wherever you may be.

My favorite toys as a child were these two stuffed mickey's. They are so worn out now I used to drag one everywhere and the other I just took on long trips and slept with. The one I drug everywhere was a little stuffed mickey with red and yellow overalls on you could buckle one shoe and tie the other and the other mickey was one in pajamas that had this little glow in the dark moon on its chest. They were so cute.

Teddy bear. My first toy. Until I was five she was called Mummy Teddy, and then she suddenly changed sex and he was called Binkie. A transexual teddy. Beat that!

I have 2 favorite childhood toys. One is a teddy bear that I got for my 1st Christmas. It has a red jacket on and a red cap on his head.It has 1989 sewed into the jacket pocket, and it's still in good condition. It's still haging up in my room right above the headboard of my bed so that I can reach up and get it whenever I nead to hug something. The other one is a doll named Mary Beth.(I didn't name her.)I got her for my 2nd birthday. She has an old faded dress on with little flowers all over it.She used to have shoes and a comb before I lost 'em.She's been through a lot with me,including the time I put little braids in her hair all over her head and Mom had to use detangler to get 'em out.
