To start my bored rhetoric:
You can say abortion is wrong. Hell, you can say the President is wrong. You can slander the hell out of him and say you want him removed. Nobody will arrest you. It's a freedom. Maybe saying it is wrong. Still, that won't ever stop you from not supporting the freedom of speech.
Analogously, women are allowed to get abortions for medical reasons. As you should well know, it doesn't take a genius to know that this will never be outlawed. Medical abortions are a given. Thus, we can see the problem with that right? Whom do we believe when medical abortions are present? The doctor? Sure. Now what about rape abortions. They will remain even when medical abortions (god, forbid) are outlawed. Thus, the trust things comes again. Whom do we trust in terms of rape? The abortion-wanting woman? Of course. Then what if one lies? Who would know? And we can't delay a real abortion to investigate because abortions are time-sensitive. Thus, we must allow that abortion to take place regardless. We can all agree on that. That same extention of a RIGHT has to exist for all occasions. Thus, legally and constitutionally, there is no way to outlaw abortions. The choice will remain. You may think it's wrong. But you HAVE to support it. Else you'd have the same view on deriding the freedom of speech. Else you set a double-standard.
Tis all.

Exactly. I totally agree!

quote: i decided to start my life in a different way than others, i moved out of my parents home into my own i got married and had children. so if the "story of my life" seems erotic to you then i am sorry.
Tell us again why we're supposed to care? quote: The thread is only "about you" (which is rather selfish, seeing as how you brought it up anyway) because you've been a good comic relief. At least for me. You're one of the few eggthrowers that's willing to talk about how she wanted to get pregnant right after high school and planned it by having sex all day long in order to do it. I still can't get over it. I think it's pretty funny. And no, it's not your biography. It's your erotic story.
Freedom is correct. That story was quite humerous, and it makes you sound like an idiot. Lets face it. Abortion is wrong in most cases. However, it's a woman's choice. It's her decision. No matter how many people think it's wrong. It's her decision. Nothing is going to change that other than the law.

Then why are you still on this forum? And you haven't cited any sources, such as your statement about the life expectancy of spermatoza. I don't remeber putting any words in your mouth, but if I have, sorry, that's speculation. And you were the first one to say anything about planning your children (and life).

your the one who wont let the "PLANNED" thing die so i told you how i PLANNED it......and i didnt EVER say i had sex all day to do so, i said i knew to the day when i was able to get pregnant and i had sex that day and got pregnant....sperm can live for up to 4 days inside a female so what would be the point of having sex all day anyway...so you can take YOUR words out of MY mouth. i decided to start my life in a different way than others, i moved out of my parents home into my own i got married and had children. so if the "story of my life" seems erotic to you then i am sorry. but since we all cant seem to move past this, i think i am done here, post what you want to, i will not respond, nor will i even waste my time reading it so dont bother. you can now go back to debating abortion or attacking others, whichever you are in the mood for.

quote: Murder is the illegal taking of a life.
Abortion is the legal destruction of a fetus.
just because the dictionary says so does not make it right, we are debating the issue, of course people are going to have thier own opinions and their own way of defining the word abortion....so "sigh" no more.

That's the main flaw I find with "adoption is always an option!".

Sigh. quote: Originally posted by clpo13: This is such a good explanation of how abortion isn't murder that I think I'll say it for the third time (too many damned abortion threads):
Murder is the illegal taking of a life.
Abortion is the legal destruction of a fetus.
So, if murder is illegal and abortion isn't, it's obvious that abortion isn't murder until someone outlaws it. And no one is willing to overturn Roe v. Wade any time soon.

i wasnt imposing my faith by simply saying i was Christian, someone asked if i was Jewish and i said no, i am Christian. Abortion is wrong and that is how i feel so i defend that. and i have just as much right to do that as anyone else here. and as far as "Abortion is Choice" i have to dissagree.... "Abortion is MURDER"

No wonder you're defending abortion, Chrissy. Responsibility doesn't seem to run in the family. Sorry if that seems harsh, but that's how I feel. Go ahead and call me a heartless babykiller. I don't care.
Did they take care of their kids? Did they love them and not beat them? If they did, then they are a lot more responsible than some people I know. What's worse? Not being born? Or being born into a family that doesn't want you but won't let a loving family adopt you because they want the welfare check? I'm adopted, so don't respond with things about all the people who want to adopt children. I know there are. But there are also a ****load of unwanted children in the system that no one is adopting. I got lucky.

I personally believe abortion is wrong, BUT I am pro-choice. I reconize the woman's right to choose. It's our bodies. Would I look down on someone who had an abortion? NO. Just because I believe it's wrong for me, doesn't mean it might be for the next woman.

yes there should be something done about the number of unwanted pregnancies....all the parents who think they have little angel daughters running around who wont have sex need to introduce their teen to the pill (providing it does not jeprodize their health) and stop just paying for an abortion when something happens. clpo13 then what did you mean exactly by "responsibility doesnt seem to run in the family"? i didnt twist your words. " quote: Well, excuse me. Next time I'll be sure to submit a request form in triplicate before I judge you."
you be sure to do that... quote: In case you can't tell, I hate the term "planned". People don't "plan" unless they're incapable in which case they see someone about it. THEN it's planned. Otherwise, you're simply "prepared".
i "planned" to get pregnant...i "planned" to have a baby.....that is what i mean when i say i "planned" my pregnancies/children.
