I agree also with not changing who you are. Just be yourself and have fun. Be happy that you are about to meet new people and start another chapter in your life. If you waste time worrying about it, then you probably won't enjoy it. Just remember to stay in touch with old friends!

I can understand your reasons behind asking this question, and I most certainly understand your possible concerns. I agree with the majority of the board members here telling you to be yourself through it all, especially with boardmember basket_ball_07707. Basket_ball_07707, very sound, solid advice.
Please do not let anyone change the essence of who you are, or tell you to compromise the family values you grew up with just to be popular. Always be yourself, concentrate on your goals, and always listen to what is in your heart.
Remember, as long as you are your own best friend, you will draw the right friends into your circle. Trust me, much better to have 1 loyal friend, then a bunch of friends who may use you and then forget you, bully you, or attempt to toy with your emotions and make you self doubt for no reason.
Life is colorful with many types of individuals. Don't make it your responsibility to try and fit into their personalities. Be confident with your own SELF, and stand tall with who you are. Apply this principle throughout your life, and you will succeed in all your endeavors, no matter where you go. Be a leader, not a follower. Don't worry about losing battles a long the way, because I can pretty much guarantee you on this, if you always remain who you are, you will end up winning the war.
I wholeheartedly wish you the best throughout this transition, and know that with support friends like basket_ball_07707 on this board, and now you have me, you will be just fine.

Be yourself COMPLETELY. Nerdy, *****y, smart, unique, humorous or obnoxious, as long as you are yourself you'll find people who like you for who you are and then you'll be happiest.

what do you need help with? a high school is a high school. It's usually like the middle school but with more freedom. that basically covers it. and as for it being a new school, be positive and think of it as a "new begining" Good luck!
