At 10 years old, a boy repeatedly tells his younger girl classmates to, "suck my [expletive]."

At soccer practice, eighth grade girls repeatedly show up drunk or high.

There is no more hope for this country, plain and simple as that. It's useless to try to inject morality in every part of society; it's just no use.

I like to believe I'm more a realist than anything, and ick, from having to hear a friend tell me about the boy and the soccer girls, it just made my mind up right there.

Moral of the story: Don't have kids.

...

Okay, that might have been too extreme, but seriously, there is no hope for our younger generation. Ever.

I guess this story fits here...
My sister is in sixth grade. She told me that there had been a rumor going around that this one boy made out with her friend.
My first reaction was, "What the heck?". Seriously, in sixth grade, the thing I worried about was what game we would play in P.E.
Kids today. Frown

I'm sure you would know all about this, considering you've been living for thousands and thousands of years, and were able to experience society first-hand.

Wow, the power of Jesus is some strange stuff.

Wrong. Wrong. Wrong. Wrong. Wrong. Wrong. Wrong.

Every single one of those statements was false. Jebus.

Your post hurts my brain with it's sheer incorrectness. Proof:

Sure, the Bible says the world is getting worse but it also says, "And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love." 1 Corinthians 13:13

So don't give up hope.
Don't lose faith.
And never stop loving.

Whatever you believe in.

Love, Jen.

What kind of person are you??
To lose hope means to lose EVERYTHING, 'cause hope is the last thing you lose!
Man, kids just need help, they need someone to tell them right from wrong, someone, that'll teach them and yet let them decide for themselves!

DON'T EVER LOSE HOPE

PLEASE

I don't think you are getting it.

I'm not giving up at all. I'm not saying Christians should give up!

I'm just saying the non-believers are turning this world upside down! This One World Government our leaders seem hell-bent on implementing is the final piece of the entire Biblical puzzle.

There's no hope in our churches, either.

There's no hope in this country, and Poncho, for you to say the world is getting better would be ...well, you're just ignorant and lacking set values.

Because any nation that would support the butchering of unborn babies is not GETTING BETTER.

Any nation that would support homosexuals teaching little kindergartners in elementary school is not GETTING BETTER.

Any nation that would send a drug possessor to more prison time than a rapist is not GETTING BETTER.

This world is not GETTING BETTER. It's getting worse. More war, more diseases, more bloodshed, more immorality, more hypocrisy, more more more demonic things ...

Like I said, I'm realistic.

yes, but while we are waiting we aren't supposed to give up on the world....we are supposed to be witnessing and trying to bring as many people to Christ as we can.

so do you think that missionaries who go to those countries that are predominantly muslim or to places like africa where they are killed for believing in God are doing that in vain? do you think they should just give up?....i lived in russia and i went to bosnia this summer and those countries (especially bosnia) are against christians....in bosnia so called "christians" killed people in front of crosses......they hate christians....should we just give up hope on them?...i don't think so.

Dude, the world is getting better. In the old days, girls as young as twelve were married and reproducing. One kid referencing that does not mean we're descending. There is really much less war and hatred in the world these days, and crime is going down. Joey, you are wrong yet again.

Joey if your job is only to find whats wrong with society then how can you say we are all doomed? If all i looked for was illiterate people then I might say that our society as a whole cannot read even though i never payed attention to those that could.

I can see what you mean. But don't you think that it would be rather selfish to just say hey Jesus come for US, the world ain't gonna change anyways? I know that there is alot of evil in the world, but this has been going on since the begginging of time. I know too that it's getting worst and worst every day, and that the bible says that the evil of others will deteriorate the faith of many. But I never loose my faith in God, nor the faith that there is still many people out there who are willing to accept Jesus in to there hearts. No matter what they did or how far they went, they can still reach salvation. I do not put my faith on people, but rather in the Holy Spirit that is still able to turn lives around. It turned my fathers life around, who used to be an alcoholic, it turned my friend's life around, who used to be a ganster, drug addict, and who many times attempted suicide. The Holy Spirits power cannot be limitted, so how can we loose faith and think that it is not doing it's purpose anymore? You know what I mean?

Lost faith in God, or lost faith in this world?

On the latter, yes.

Knowing that I'm protected by God and am loved by God, gives me true peace to deal with what I call, "standing on the sidelines" as this country descents further and further into hell.

I have not lost faith, I have become more realistic in knowing that nothing we can do, say, or write, will change history.

It is in the Bible that this MUST happen. It must. It cannot change for the better, because the Bible clearly says that it will change for the WORST.

I used to be worried by it all, but now, it's just a matter of time before Jesus comes to get us.

Why not put more effort into finding storys that make you say, "wow there really is still good in the world" ?

Because that's not my job. My job is to expose the works of darkness and reveal the truth. I'm an investigative journalist, and much of what I do isn't all "rosy" ...

God CAN change a Nation, he can, and I agree. But look at society - American society, specifically - there's nothing that can be salvaged from it.

hehe, that was funny, tabb. but i have a quote that ive said before, and is my personal favourite: "hope is the perfect spice to bring out despair." that is the truest thing that i think ive thought about all day. with hope, you will always be dissapointed. hope is blind. hope is deaf. hope is stupid. when you hope, the only way is down. hope will destroy the world some day. hope brings out despair, it is very true.

"What are we fighting for Sam?"
"That there’s some good in this world Mr. Frodo, and it’s worth fighting for."

I know it came from a movie that is based on a world that isn't real. but the words still hold truth. there is some good left in the horrible world. will you fight for it? i do.
