I am in a bad situation right now. My mother is an alcoholic and my dad works all the time. It has come to the point where I am scared to come home from school. I worry all the time about my mom, my parents getting a divorce. Divorce is like my worst nightmare, and i worry about it so much eventhough its not anywhere near that. I mean I love my parents so much, but i think i have an anxiety problem and im scared to get help. My mom might tell me to get over it..or get mad at me. I want my mom to stop drinking but i feel there is no way i can do anything. I cant tell anyone she will get reallly really mad and leave and it wouldnt help anyways, and i cant talk to her about it she will get really mad. so what do i do? i am really scared and i just want to cry all the time i really need some help here, anyone have any advice or anything? thanks

I give you my heart. I mean I have been through a similar situation, but not exactly the same. My mom and dad weren't in a great relationship to begin with, and my dad drank all the time and enver came home, and verbally abused us and everything and tiwas terrible, i mean iwas 5 years old and i was begging my parents to get divorced because i didnt want to have tog ot hrough another night of listening to my mom sobbing and then my dad stumble in at 3 am and then come into my room and tell me i was stupid and alot of other things. i mean it continued until I was 11, and my parents finally did divorce it took my mom that much courage to finally get the papers. i mean i know you don't want a divorce to happen, but do you think it would make things better? I know that sounds awful, but just form experience sometimes it makes things a lot better...but then again every situation is different and i dont mean to impose. But i guess your best bet would be talking to your dad sometime, and express yor concern, or talk to a school counselor then they can notify your parents, and the 3 of you can talk. One again my heart goes out to you, and just keep fighting strong you'll get through it.

I really wish I could help. But, unfortunatly, I have no idea what to say. I will give it my best shot though. Okay, so you say your dad works alot? Well, if that seems to be his only fault, then why don't you try as hard as possible to discuss it with him? Maybe if you told him your worries about your mom and the other problem maybe he could help out. I hope I helped a little, and I am sorry about what has happened to you. I hope you figure it out. Best wishes.
