Well the thing is (and this is just a guess) Japan isn't a very open nation to the idea of womyn in the work place. I would say that it is likely that they simply can't find other jobs and HAVE to support their family so they turn to the only thing they are able to do. No matter how horrible it is, if you need the money...

I think prostitotion is a awful way of life. If they are going through things in their life protitotion is not an option in trying to make it. They could do something diffrent like working cleaning someones house or something.

You should never have to degrade yourself like that.

Maybe those girls have something going on in their lives that makes them turn to selling their bodies on the streets like that. Maybe they ran away and are trying to make a living to support themselves. That could've happened depending on what their home life is or was like.
