well i could speak for the eastern hemishphere..
here saying yes or no to child labour is such a catch22...
its all about poverty and more than that about ignorance in these parts to of the world..
most poor families educate thier kids until like say the 10th grade cause most of them flunk it and then drop out of school..say the others do 2 more grades we still dont have decent paying jobs for them..so telling them to study is of no use in a way...
the hitch again is thatinspite of going to school they work homes as maids with their parents or dont really devote enough time to studying..besides the education in government schools sucks..edcation doesnt change thier mindset either..so all in all its a loose-loose situtaion...
if they dont go to school atleast they earn money though siting in a developed country am sure people will find this kind of opinion extrmemely wrong..but the problem in coutnries like mine is that nuthing changes at the grassroot levels..nuthing ever improves and in the slum areas and stuff once a girl gets her periods/ chums the guys in the area really start eve teasing and stuff...so the chances of being raped are pretty high..so to save the family pride parents get thier daughters married at the age of 13 and 14 sometime and nuthing we try to do even if its sex education does anything to the already deep rooted system...
Dont let ur studies interfere with ur education!!!!!
