What do you think about abortion? I have a story to tell you and then answer me. My cousin was 5 mounths pregnet and her husband works off shore and he came in to go to see his baby for the first time through an ultrasound. When they got there the nurse shoowed him the babies head, arms, and legs then said she had to go ask the doctor a question and when she got back with the doctor they found out that she had lost their baby. She did not have a choice to have her baby or not but all the women out there do have a chose and I think if you don't want a kid don't get pregnet but if you do get pregnet and still don't want it then put it up for adoption because there are people out there that do want kids but are unable to have them so you think about that before you aswer this: are you agaist abortion or do you think it is right? i agree with you. you cant say "im against" or "im in favor" until it happens to you. i was completely against abortion until i was raped and got pregnant. i want my kids to have a good life, so i aborted it.
What do I think about abortion? Well I used to be 100 percent pro-life, then I got pregnant, its funny how quickly your mind changes when it suddenly happens to you. I was on the pill and taking it perfectly but these things happen, it took me and my boyfriend by surprise but we couldnt have a baby. We are only 20 and 22, in school full time. Both our parents do not believe in premarital sex. I am going to nursing school, how was I to be lifting people and transfering during clinical with an 8 month belly? It wouldnt work. We had school to pay for, if I dropped out of school there wouldnt be another opening for 3 years (if I was lucky) then I would be working a minimum wage job supporting a baby who I would never get to see because I would have to work long hours, What kind of life is that?! What kind of baby deserves a life like that? Yes of course there is adoption...but I could never watch someone else love my baby as I could have? Not to mention I cant even miss a week of clinical so how would I take time off to recover from giving birth? I have all the love in the world to give but unfortunetly love doesnt put food in that baby's mouth, clothes on its back nor toys for it to play with. You can scream and yell that my baby felt pain and that I'm a horrible person. I am in the medical feild and that baby's neurological system wasnt even developing yet when I had the procedure, he/she didnt feel a thing, it didnt even know what was happening. I chose a better life for my baby not for me. Why should my future children have to suffer because I was selfish and wanted a cute little baby? Why should I have to play catch up because the medical field failed me when I was using a birth control method that is ALMOST 100% effective? Dont get me wrong..I dont believe in abortions after the 1rst trimester and I do not believe it is okay for a woman to use an abortion as her birth control (I met a woman who is 21 and has had 4 abortions already) Personally I think abortions should be legalized in other places if they are not going to make birth control easy access. In Africa many woman must suffer and go through multiple pregnancies due to rape and prostitution (working to get money to feed all their other children) and its horrible to see this happening instead these women carry their baby's to full term and leave them in alleys, feilds, and dumpsters (my baby cousin was adopted in africa, she was dumped in a dumpster when she was just a few hours old and left there to die probably because her mother couldnt handle another child)...so its okay for these women to have these babies full term and then leave the babies some where to suffer and die? How does that make sense?
By the way that website silentscream is nothing but a bunch of bull**** some church loving people made up trust me a lot of it is images after miscarriages and when babies die in utero and they send the fetus to the lab for tests. Most abortion clinics wrap everything up and send it out in biohazard bags...why would they take pictures of that?
This is a sensitive subject I know but let me clarify something here: Being pro-choice doesn't mean you're pro-abortion, it means that you're pro-let-women-choose-what-they-want-to-do. Why should men in the white house be deciding what women should do with their bodies? Being pro-choice doesn't mean you promote abortion (I think), it means you promote the right for a woman to choose what she wants to do with her life. Like the National Organization for Women (NOW button says, "Against Abortion? Don't Have One!" I don't know whether I am pro-life or pro-choice yet, although I am for preventing the suffering of living things who can't speak for themselves (like animals). There's something I want to ask the pro-lifers here, do you eat meat? i think that there are going to be a lot of discussions about abortion and how it's right or wrong but honestly you can't judge i believe if it's right or wrong unless you're the mother in the position... then you can have a say into an opinion that people are actually going to respect.

If you were raped, got pregnant, carried it to term, and put it up for adoption, then I might respect that opinion. You have no idea how a woman would feel if she was raped, and then found out she was pregnant by the rapist, therefore, you have no right to say what a pregnant, raped woman should do with her baby.
This is why I'm pro-choice. I believe that every situation is different, and every woman should be able to choose for herself whether or not to keep her baby, no matter what the circumstance.
People saying, "Oh, if you don't want to keep it, put it up for adoption" obviously don't realise that the child may not have a good life in that situation. Can you imagine carrying a baby for nine months, and then just giving it away?
Oh, and saying that abortion is murder, while the life is terminated, it doesn't feel pain, it doesn't have emotions, it's not fully devolped. If abortions were happening through all trimesters, then I could understand why people are coming to this conclusion.
Even if abortions were ever made illegal, it wouldn't stop women from having them. It would just create more risks associated with abortions.

I can't speak for everyone, but there's no way that, if I was raped, I would keep the baby to term. I don't want that thing inside of me, and it's my decision to choose if I do keep it to term, especially since I had absolutely no decision during the conception.

It doesn't matter if the odds of that happening are very slim or virtually non-existant. You have to understand that women will be raped, they might get pregnant, and if they do, abortion should be one of their choices.
Well I wasn't talking about those two subjects now was I? But anyway, if a women was raped, the least she could do was put it up for adoption. And most of the time people who are raped usually don't get pregnant so the odds of that happening is very slim.
People irritate me sometimes. Girls and Women go out and have sex and then get all disapointed when they find out they are pregnant. If you didn't want the child then why did you have sex? Its stupid! If you aren't ready to take care of a baby then you aren't ready to have sex. Its as simple as that.

Yea, do a little research on the woman who fought for abortion to be legal in the Roe vs Wade court case. Not only is she pro-life now, but she's fighting (and succeeding) to over-turn the case.

Put it up for adoption if you can't take care of it. Abortion just cause the women who have it more problems. Almost all of them have post-abortion trauma and convert to PRO-LIFE. The people who made abortion legal are almost all pro - lifers now. You wonder why? Abortion never helps the mother and never the child.
