They might be thinking of the word 'snake' as a euphemism for the male sex organ.

lol No. It actually doesn't even mention mating. It has pictures of them just laying around. There's one picture where a burmese python (15 ft. long and 200 lbs.) devours a big hare, but you see no blood, just the constriction. And that like everything else on the site has no reference to anything pornographic. Huh.

Hmmmmm wonder what the pornographic qualities of snakes would be? maybe they show how the snakes mate and the school considers it porn

I highly doubt that Congressmen will stand for eliminating internet porn. Hehe. Seriously. And one of the attractive quailities about internet is that you can find just about anything on there. But when it comes to porn, the only real problem with it being available online is when any kid could get a hold of it at any time. Schools should have programs that screen out more pornographic sites, not innocent sites I've tried to access like snakesonline.com that they block because of "pornographic qualities". It has information on different types of boas and pythons, not something else!

I find the google safe search to be very effective in excluding pornography from search engines. internet porn will never disapear because whether you deny it or not, it's popular. Schools should have appropriote blocking programs because they are availibe. "You learn about equality in the classroom but you find out about it in life" - Campus Confidential www.myspace.com/yogore

My school is the opposite, there are only about five websites I can go on, and youthnoise gets banned when certain threads make the home page. It makes it impossible to research anything.

I think its awful, and ridicolous that those kind of sites are even accessable. Its very very degrading. But. Whatever.
And in schools? yeah. its so easy for kids to access pornography. there was a kid in my computers class last year, that had porn sent to his e-mail and he would look at it everyday. The kid never got caught.
Lame.
