The father should have a say, and so should parents of minors. But none of that matters because it should be illegal anyway (in whatever states want to do it. It is a state's rights issue).

The fetus is a person. In no way does its size have any affect on that. Therefore it should have the same right as a human being. If a mother murdered her new born child, it would be considered horrible. But yet thousand of fetus have been killed, and no one thinks anything of it?

and yes the father should have a say it's his kid to, his flesh, his blood the woman shouldn't be the only one with a say

I am definately pro-choice because to me, it's not really about the fetus, it's about women's rights. Yes, killing is wrong, but do you seriously think the girls who go through this WANT to? Abortion is painful for the mind, body, and soul. I don't know if i could ever get an abortion because I'd feel so guilty, but the choice MUST be there.

Ive heard an interesting point for pro-life recently...a guy i work with said he is ok with abortion, but not that the dad doesn't have a say in the child's future. my argument was going through pregnancy! holy shit i am definatly waiting like 10 more years for that, im not looking forward to throwing up for weeks. anyway, what do you think about this? should the father have any say?

I didnt know this...until recently, but the Oath that Doctors have today was derived from Hippocrates. They have changed it, of course, to best suit them. Interestingly enough...the ancient Oath had Doctors swear not to give abortion.

I think she's right...I don't see why every school doesn't teach safe sex...like she said, teens are gonna have sex...it's only right totlet them know how to protect themselves...and it shouldn't be a ditch option.

Hey, I've got a better idea! How about instead of arguing over what abortion is, why don't we teach kids about birth control, so when they do it, they don't get pregnant and have to get abortions? Isn't that a great idea?

Sorry, I got a little sarcastic. It just annoys me when people call abortions murder and then turn out to be the same people who refuse to teach kids about sex because it will make them more promiscuous. Face it: teens will have sex no matter what. It's better to keep them protected and using birth control, than have to worry about abortions later on.

And for the record, I'm pro-choice. But I think there are better options. Abortion should only be a last-ditch alternative.
