That wasn't very nice.

Bacteria is living. Do you propose that we stop breathing because were are killing something living?

Prove it.

why kill such innocent beings.

As opposed to guilty beings?
quote:

If you choose to have unprotected sex and you get pregnant you should have the baby for gosh sakes.

By that logic, someone who eats, and begins to choke, should just choke to death beause they chose to eat in the first place. Someone who goes in a pool, and and starts to drown, should just drown because they chose to get in the pool in the first place.

There is something wrong with this logic...

Great! So after 209 pages, the pro-choicers are still pro-choice and the pro-lifers are still pro-life.

Yes. I miss GQ. I also hate how the Life, Love, etc Coalition page has about 5 posts from me in a row and no one will join the revelry. Please Ohio....join me.

I know, good times! I haven't talked to GQ since my wedding to hydrok. I think we're divorced now. I feel like a YN sleez

Ah this is the very thread that started my career here on YN. Just wondering is there still people that say things like

"yes, I believe abortion is wrong."

or

"People can do what they want to their bodies!!!!"

Great debating skills they've got there. Smile

No thanks I'll be perfectly fine waking up at 2 Am and leaving my warm bed before I go to my job in two hours to seek quail, pistachio ice cream and caviar.

Midwives are the same thing as a Doc who delivers a child with the diffrence that midwives don't have as much medical training as a doctor

as to real men I would hope that all guys would be able to take responability for their actions when it comes to getting a girl pregnant screwed her and it's your kid to so it's your responability to care and provide for your child any one who says or does other wise is a ballsless pansy

haha! real men...a rare species these days

But on the other hand, if these "real men" have such an issue "dealing" with pregnant women, then I'm sure they would have no problem switching roles and carrying a child around for 9 months and giving birth to it, because I know for a fact, women would have no qualms with taking on the role where their only responsibility(again, if they want to) would be "dealing" with someone who's pregnant. Because even when there have been men who take time to care for the woman they (or someone else) got pregnant, there have always been women doing the same thing as well. Have you ever heard of a midwife? I've never heard of a midhusband, but who knows? Roll Eyes

But I suppose if people didn't have a reason to have sex (ie it didn't feel good) they species would not continue and we wouldn't be here

Yeah, I guess it does help Big Grin ...but then again, childbirth isn't what you would call pleasant.

Hey, hey, hey, Hollie...is that the only part of my post you read? If you would notice, I was trying to squish the argument like a real big bug. But I also like being a smartass. Big Grin ...and I didn't think to check the date. Afterall, this was like the 2nd topic on the boards.

Ok ok, haha, that's good to know.

quote:
But think about the mother who could die in labor or give her child some horrible genetic disease or something like that.

And I'm not 100% sure about this, but I do think that they let the mother know if there are any risks pertaining to her pregnancy before she goes into labor, and I think she has a choice what road to take (as in the favor of her child or for her). But, its kind of difficult when the mother is already in labor and they could lose her life if they save the child and vice-versa. I think the doctors make an attempt at saving both, or the one who has the most chance of surviving. And with the issue of giving the child a genetic disease, I don't think its fair to let the baby go based on that risk. There are many people in this world who live with a genetic disease. And if that was the protocol (aborting a child who has a risk of being genetically disabled) then many kids alive today would not be here. C-sections are the solution for saving babies who would have the risk of genetic disease b/c of oxygen deprivation through natural birth.

I can agree with that but the solution for the first isn't abortion it's a C-section
