But more oftentimes, abortion becomes an issue amongst extraordinary circumstances. Yes, there are plenty of people who point out that teens have a lot of sex thinking they won't get pregnant but that they can have an abortion if they do. But think about the mother who could die in labor or give her child some horrible genetic disease or something like that. Those are the cases that I argue pro-choice for. Not the teens.

you have a good point about the pleasure component and that's the bitch of the whole thing isn't it? But I suppose if people didn't have a reason to have sex (ie it didn't feel good) they species would not continue and we wouldn't be here

Yeah, don't rekindle the flame Worth, the argument has been dead for a good amount of time...and I intend to keep it that way. And besides, you didn't really miss out on too much before the whole thing started anyway. It was just another thread brought back to life by a "newbie", who's opinion was discounted anyway because of that fact. I just decided to make things more interesting, considering there's already like 3 other boards about abortion.

And btw amp, good luck with convincing the world not to have sex. That's just as good as telling people to stop eating so much sugar b/c it can raise your blood pressure. People know the risks, yet that has never stopped anyone. I personally agree with you...but there are a lot of people out there that aren't having sex in order to have children. And then there is the whole gay sex argument. Unless by some freak miracle, no baby is gonna result from two homosexuals doin the dirty. You can't tell heterosexuals to only have sex if they want kids, and then say to homosexuals that its alright to have sex just for pleasure b/c well, that's all they can get from it.

okay here's my solution to abortion

don't screw unless you want a child. The function of sex is to produce children (that's why it's called the reproductive system) so if you don't want a kid don't have sex it's as simple as that

I didn't go back and read all the mess but it's still clear that this is more of a waste of time than trying to convince lifers that pro-choice isn't the same as pro-abortion.

If this thread was title "Arrogance on YouthNOISE" then your initial comment would make sense. You said that to piss people off, because there is no other reason on the planet you would contribute to your typing arthritis.

Now, it all comes down to this: are you arrogant or not? You already admitted ever so elegantly that you were, so why would you be angry with me? If you don't think you are, then prove me wrong.
